Shenmue II

ABOUT THE ORIGINAL GAME

Driven by vengeance after witnessing his father’s murder at the hands of the enigmatic Lan Di, martial artist Ryo Hazuki follows a cryptic warning from Chen Yao Wen to the bustling streets of Hong Kong. Only Master Lishao Tao holds the secrets of Ryo’s past and the key to confronting his sworn enemy. As you guide Ryo through neon-lit alleys, legendary tea houses, and crowded markets, every conversation and combat encounter brings you closer to uncovering the truth behind Lan Di’s dark legacy.
Shenmue II is the direct sequel to the original Shenmue, expanding its life-simulation adventure into a world five times larger and richer in detail. Explore authentic Hong Kong districts, train in traditional dojos, and gather clues through meaningful dialogues, all while honing new fighting moves and mastering cinematic quick-time events. Earn cash by working part-time jobs or winning street brawls, then unwind with exact arcade recreations like OutRun. A larger cast of allies joins Ryo’s quest, and the Xbox edition even includes the feature-length Shenmue: The Movie DVD, an immersive experience for every would-be martial arts legend.
