sidplaywx v0.19.2 has been released, enhancing the GUI player for Commodore 64 SID chip tunes for a modern playback experience. Key updates include a preference toggle for early C64 capacitor types and an adjustable filter range for SID 6581. Improvements feature a synchronized remaining-time tooltip, a lighter tune inspection process for better performance, and the removal of unsupported filetype wildcards. Additionally, the fix for the “Multi-SID tunes Virtual stereo” option now suspends effects during playback. The update incorporates libsidplayfp 3.0 and wxWidgets 3.3.2, though playback buttons on Linux appear less tidy due to margin changes. Download is available.

sidplaywx v0.19.2 has been released. The sidplaywx is a graphical user interface player designed for Commodore 64 SID chip tunes, aiming to deliver a modern and enjoyable playback experience on PC.
sidplaywx Changelog:
[NEW] Added preferences toggle for using 2200pF capacitors for early C64 models instead of the standard 470pF (affecting SID 6581 sound).
[NEW] Preferences setting now available for filter range (SID 6581).
[IMPROVED] Remaining time tooltip updates are now consistently synced with duration updates.
[IMPROVED] Tune inspection has been optimized for better performance when populating the playlist.
[IMPROVED] Unsupported filetype wildcards (.c64;.prg;*.p00) have been removed, as they were never functional in sidplaywx.
[FIXED] The “Multi-SID tunes Virtual stereo” option now properly suspends the virtualization effect during multi-SID tune playback (when Virtual stereo is also enabled).
Updated to libsidplayfp 3.0 (with residfp).
Updated to wxWidgets 3.3.2.
Please note that the updated version of wxWidgets has caused playback buttons on Linux to have reduced margins, affecting their appearance. I will investigate this issue.
