Ymir Git (May 7, 2026)

Ymir Git (2026/05/07) is a new Sega Saturn emulator still in development. It supports loading games from various file formats like BIN+CUE and ISO, includes automatic BIOS detection, and allows for automatic region switching. The emulator supports up to two players with customizable controls. Features such as backup RAM, save state functionality, and integrated memory management for saves are included, along with options for rewinding, turbo speed, and frame stepping. A work-in-progress debugger is also part of the build. The recent changelog notes a switch to borderless fullscreen for file dialogs.

Ymir Git (2026/05/07) has been released. It’s an ongoing development Sega Saturn emulator.

Features:
Support for loading games from BIN+CUE, IMG+CCD, MDF+MDS, or ISO files
Automatic detection of IPL (BIOS) ROM
Seamless region switching
Supports up to two players using standard Control Pads on both ports (more enhancements to come)
Fully adjustable keybindings
Support for backup RAM and DRAM cartridges (additional features coming soon)
Integrated memory manager for importing, exporting, and transferring saves between internal and cartridge RAM
Save states functionality
Rewinding capability (up to one minute at 60 fps), turbo speed, and frame stepping (both forwards and backwards)
A feature-rich debugger currently in development
