Ymir Repository Update (May 27, 2026)

Ymir Git (2026/05/27) is a developing Sega Saturn emulator featuring support for various game file formats (BIN+CUE, ISO, etc.), automatic BIOS detection, and region switching. It allows up to two players with customizable keybindings, supports backup RAM and DRAM cartridges, and includes a memory manager for saves. Additional features include save states, rewinding (up to one minute), turbo speed, frame stepping, and a work-in-progress debugger. Recent changelog updates involve build enhancements, structural modifications, and renaming for clarity. The emulator continues to evolve with future updates planned.

Load games from BIN+CUE, IMG+CCD, MDF+MDS, or ISO files
Automatic IPL (BIOS) ROM detection
Automatic region switching
Supports up to two players with standard Control Pads on both ports (more features are coming)
Fully customizable keybindings
Backup RAM and DRAM cartridge support (more features to be added)
Integrated memory manager for importing and exporting saves, as well as transferring between internal and cartridge RAM
Save states
Rewinding (up to one minute at 60 fps), turbo speed, and frame stepping (both forwards and backwards)
An ongoing development of a feature-rich debugger
