Ymir Version Control (August 19, 2026)

Ymir Git (2026/08/19), a work-in-progress Sega Saturn emulator, has been released with several features. It supports loading games from multiple formats (BIN+CUE, IMG+CCD, MDF+MDS, ISO) and includes automatic BIOS detection and region switching. The emulator allows up to two players with customizable keybindings, backup RAM functionality, and integrated memory management for saves. Region switching capability
Up to two players with standard control pads on both ports (more features on the way)
Fully customizable key bindings
Support for backup RAM and DRAM cartridges (additional features forthcoming)
Built-in memory manager for importing/exporting saves and transferring between internal and cartridge RAM
Save state functionality
Rewind capability (up to one minute at 60 fps), turbo speed, and frame stepping (forwards and backwards)
A developing, feature-rich debugger
