Ymir Git (2026/05/20) is a developing Sega Saturn emulator that supports various file formats (BIN+CUE, IMG+CCD, MDF+MDS, ISO) and features automatic BIOS detection and region switching. It allows up to two players with customizable control pads and offers backup RAM and DRAM cartridge support. Additional functionalities include an integrated memory manager, save states, rewinding (up to one minute at 60 fps), turbo speed, and frame stepping. A feature-rich debugger is also in development. Automatic detection of IPL (BIOS) ROM
Automatic region switching support
Multiplayer support for up to two players with standard Control Pads on both ports (more features coming soon)
Completely customizable keybindings
Support for Backup RAM and DRAM cartridges (additional features expected)
Integrated memory manager for importing and exporting saves, and for transferring between internal and cartridge RAM
Save states functionality
Rewind feature (up to one minute at 60 fps), turbo speed, and frame stepping (both forwards and backwards)
A robust feature-rich debugger still in development.
