Ares Git (2026/06/04) is the latest version of a multi-system emulator, which has been in development since October 14, 2004. It is a descendant of higan and bsnes, with a focus on accuracy and preservation. Ares emulates 27 hardware devices, including various Nintendo consoles, Sega devices, and others like the Neo Geo Pocket and ColecoVision. The recent changelog notes an update for the Nintendo 64, specifically addressing DIV/DIVU in user mode that previously did not trigger a RI exception. The emulator is available for download in x64 format.
