Cycle-accurate CPU emulation, where each opcode is divided into several micro-operations (e.g., loading values from memory, storing to registers) and each micro-operation executes in a separate CPU cycle.
Highly compatible (passes all of Blargg’s tests, though some games may still malfunction)
Rollback-based multiplayer support

Coffee GB 1.7.16 updates the distribution pipeline for native versions on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Windows version now provided as a portable .exe instead of an MSI installer.
Published release artifacts omit JSON metadata while keeping checksums and the native package matrix intact.
Native installers display the copyright holder as Tomasz Rękawek using platform-safe Unicode/RTF encoding.
Native packages no longer set Coffee GB as a handler for .gb, .gbc, or .rom file types.
