Konami Industry Co. Ltd. began as the incorporated name of Konami on March 19, 1973, when the company moved from jukebox repair into manufacturing arcade amusement machines in Osaka and later expanded into home and PC titles. Early leaders include founder Kagemasa Kōzuki and partners Yoshinobu Nakama, Hiro Matsuda and Shokichi Ishihara. During the late 1970s and 1980s the firm released arcade and home conversions such as Loco-Motion and arcade shooters including Ajax and Time Pilot under the Konami name; its game development wing later evolved into subsidiaries like Konami Digital Entertainment.
