DOSBox-X Git (2026/05/27) has been released. DOSBox-x is an offshoot of DOSBox. DOSBox simulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, and other components needed to run many classic MS-DOS games that cannot operate on modern PCs and operating systems such as Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux, and FreeBSD.

DOSBox-X Changelog:
* Disney sound source/COVOX: Retain the last sample sent to the DAC when there’s no new data. The Disney sound source will stop only if it’s idle and the last DAC value is 128 (DC zero). This adjustment is crucial to avoid popping sounds with In Extremis when utilizing LPT DAC output.
