The ongoing efforts aim to achieve several goals: update the codebase to current coding standards, eliminate the plugin system in favor of a unified monolithic codebase that manages all aspects of Playstation emulation, utilize SDL/OpenGL3+/ImGui for enhanced portability and readability, and enhance both debugging and rendering experiences.
