Founded in Moscow in February 1994, Buka Entertainment operated as a Russian video‑game publisher and localizer led by founders Igor Ustinov and Alexander Mikhailov. Across the 2000s it published and localized domestic and foreign titles for the Russian and CIS markets; credited releases include Pacific Storm (2005) and its standalone expansion Pacific Storm: Allies (2007), Steel Fury: Kharkov 1942, and Imperium Romanum with its Emperor expansion. In July 2008 the company was acquired by 1C Company. The firm also ran publishing labels for mobile and localized releases during its history.
