Founded in Hamburg in 1995 as DTP Neue Medien and reorganized as dtp entertainment AG in 1999, dtp operated as a German publisher, developer and distributor through the 2000s. Thomas Baur is named as the company founder; leadership later included a public board structure. The firm published and sometimes developed across PC and consoles, operating labels such as Anaconda and a children’s division (dtp young entertainment). Notable published titles include Radon Labs’ Das Schwarze Auge: Drakensang and its 2010 expansion The River of Time, and the Crazy Machines series and Summer Athletics entries released during the late 2000s. The company filed for insolvency in 2012.
