Enix Corporation

Enix Corporation was a Tokyo-based Japanese publisher that operated under the Enix name from the early 1980s until its 2003 merger with Square. Founded by Yasuhiro Fukushima as a restructuring of an earlier business, the company built its reputation by sponsoring programming contests and publishing externally developed titles rather than running large internal development teams. Enix published landmark RPGs and related releases—most notably early Dragon Quest entries and later releases such as Dragon Quest IV, Torneko spin-offs and handheld/console titles like Star Ocean: Blue Sphere and Wonder Project J—and established North American and other regional branches during the 1990s. The game entries below, including versions and later rereleases grouped in this archive, span systems such as SNES, PlayStation, NES, MSX, PlayStation 2, Arcade, Nintendo Switch, Windows, Game Boy Color, and PlayStation 3.
