MicroProse Software, Inc.

MicroProse Software, Inc. was an American video game publisher and developer founded in 1982 by Sid Meier and Bill “Wild Bill” Stealey. During the 1980s and 1990s it produced and published vehicle simulations and strategy titles, including early flight simulators such as F-15 Strike Eagle and strategy franchises that trace to Sid Meier’s work, notably Civilization. The company operated multiple development locations through its commercial life and used publishing labels for externally developed titles. Leadership and key designers shifted over time as the business changed ownership and reorganized in the 1990s and 2000s. The game entries below, including versions and later rereleases grouped in this archive, span systems such as DOS, Windows, Amiga, Atari ST, Commodore 64, Atari 8-bit, Amstrad CPC, ZX Spectrum, Apple II, and NES.
