Sun Corporation of America

Sun Corporation of America served as the U.S. publishing arm for Japan’s Sun Corporation (often branded Sunsoft in Western markets) from the mid-1980s through the 1990s. Headquartered in the United States as a regional subsidiary, it released console and PC titles such as Acme Animation Factory (SNES), Sun-published versions of Superman (Genesis/Mega Drive), and several licensed movie and cartoon tie-ins including Batman and Aero the Acro-Bat. The U.S. branch handled Western publishing and business operations distinct from Sun’s Japanese parent; credit on releases often appears under the Sunsoft or Sun Corporation of America imprint. The game entries below, including versions and later rereleases grouped in this archive, span systems such as NES, Genesis, SNES, Arcade, Nintendo Switch, Game Boy, Wii, Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, and PlayStation 4.
