Prolapse, the proposed PS5 exploit for firmware 14.00 and 14.10, faces fresh doubts about whether it can become a usable jailbreak. A new r/PS5_Jailbreak thread shares a pessimistic message attributed to Sonic-Iso, while zecoxao’s public code remains labeled non working.
The update weakens expectations of an imminent release. It does not confirm that Prolapse is canceled or that a future jailbreak for these firmware versions is impossible.
What the update says
The first image in the Reddit gallery shows this message attributed to Sonic-Iso:
“prolapse is useless… i think they are still trying but i dont have hope for it”

The thread’s author, u/Time-Firefighter6802, says Sonic-Iso discussed the issue with zecoxao and describes the bug as having limited prospects. That is the poster’s account, supported by cropped conversations rather than a complete technical report. The quoted message also suggests work may still be continuing.
The gallery also includes a reply from zecoxao saying the approach might not be feasible on PS5, while adding that he is not entirely sure. The cropped exchange supports caution, but does not supply a complete technical explanation.
There is no confirmed cancellation in the material reviewed. There is also no working Prolapse release established by it.
The public code is unfinished
zecoxao’s October 26 Gist is titled “current (non working) prolapse code.” Its status notes identify later stages that still require testing and iteration on console hardware. It should not be treated as a finished jailbreak.

Accusations about scams and donations also appear in the discussion. The thread does not substantiate those claims.
What this means for owners
It is possible that this approach will produce no usable release. Owners who have stayed offline specifically for Prolapse should consider that possibility, rather than treating it as a project with a countdown.
