Chrono Trigger plunges you into the adventure of Crono, Lucca, and a mysterious girl named Marle when a teleportation experiment at the Millennial Fair flings Marle 400 years into the past. Racing to restore the timeline, Crono and Lucca chase her through ancient forests, medieval kingdoms, and a dystopian future, uncovering buried secrets that span across eras. With history in your hands, every choice you make can reshape the world, delivering a captivating storyline full of twists, unforgettable characters, and a sense of epic discovery at every turn.
Featuring seamless exploration with no random encounters, enemies roam visibly on the field and can even be avoided on the world map, Chrono Trigger’s flexible combat system lets you toggle between active-time battles (ATB) and fully turn-based action. Recruit up to seven unique heroes, master powerful “Tech” abilities that target enemy formations, and unleash double- and triple-Tech combos for spectacular results. With thirteen distinct endings and a New Game+ mode that carries over levels, Techs, and gear, each replay uncovers fresh surprises. The PlayStation edition adds an anime-style intro, movie theater, bestiary, art gallery, and cutscenes, while the Nintendo DS version brings two new dungeons and an exclusive ending linked to Chrono Cross.
