River City Ransom

ABOUT THE ORIGINAL GAME

River City Ransom throws you into the gritty streets of River City, where the diabolical Slick has kidnapped Ryan’s girlfriend and seized control of the high school. Choose your hero, Ryan or his friend Alex, for solo thrills or cooperative chaos as you brawl through graffiti-stained alleys, gyms, and rooftops. Every punch, kick, and well-timed object toss brings you closer to confronting Slick and winning back your girl. Along the way, defeated thugs spill cash you can spend at malls on energy drinks, protective gear, and training manuals that boost your stats and unlock powerful new techniques. With side-scrolling combat that recalls classic beat-’em-ups and satisfying RPG-style progression, River City Ransom delivers nonstop, upgrade-fueled fun that’s easy to pick up but hard to put down.
This Game Boy Advance edition builds on the original’s legendary combo of street fighting and character growth by adding fresh faces, tougher gangs, and an arsenal of brand-new weapons. Recruit former foes to join your crew and unleash team attacks, or dive deeper into the level-up system with extra items and hidden shops. Whether you’re reliving childhood memories or discovering River City Ransom for the first time, you’ll love the fluid 2-player co-op, quirky humor, and endless customization. Gear up, power up, and prepare to take back the neighborhood, Slick won’t know what hit him.
