SuperSnes9x v1.63.20 has been released. This is a portable emulator for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (TM), derived from the Snes9x codebase. It is an unofficial fork of the Snes9x project.
Features of SuperSnes9x:
Kaillera Server/Client
RetroAchievements
S-PPU Sprite/Tile/Tiles viewers
Support for multiple controllers
SDL Support
Run-Ahead Support
Color Correction Support
Improved Cheat Search / Cheat Editor
SuperSnes9x Changelog:
Game Boy / Super Game Boy:
New mapper support
M161 mapper â introduces support for the Mani 4-in-1 multicart (a modified MBC3 cart) to ensure its game-select menu functions properly
Improvements in emulation accuracy:
Resolved a blank-screen issue in Spot caused by the EI; fixed the HALT bug that could occur when an EI was still pending,
leading to corruption in the interrupt vector fetch
Fixed the freezing issue on the Mr. Do! title screen by locking the STAT LYC-coincidence flag while the LCD is off, rather than
recalculating it from the parked LY
Auto Layer Transparency (frame-blend):
New option for Auto Layer Transparency that blends alternate frames to restore flicker-based transparency effects (e.g., ZAS)
Per-layer selection to allow independent enabling of blending for backgrounds / windows / sprites
Per-title default settings for “Auto Layer”, with frame-blending automatically deactivated during fast-forward
Corrected blend tearing and SGB flicker, and prevented static GB screens from ghosting; added a blend-mode dropdown
GB blend controls are now organized into their own “Game Boy Image” category, disabled for SNES titles
GB mix volume settings now persist in SGB BIOS mode
Windows (win32) input enhancements:
Hotkey modifiers now mask the GetAsyncKeyState high bit, eliminating stray/stuck modifier issues
Input binding improvements: maxKeys is now based solely on the Single/Multi combination, capturing re-enters when the binding
mode changes mid-focus, and displaying the current binding (rather than …) on mid-focus mode switches
Linux (Qt/Gtk) build adjustments:
Directly link libpng/zlib to the core target to resolve a DSO missing link error
Libretro SBG Core (Win/Linux):
Added Libretro support (in a separate branch) for building the RetroArch core.
Copy .info to /info and .dll to /system
Linux .so is not included, and users will need to build it independently from the sgb_libretro branch
