Touché PX5 v0.0.2-beta.6 is a PlayStation 5 emulator written in C#, developed for research and educational purposes without commercial intent. It focuses on PS5 games, with no plans to emulate PS4 titles, thanks to existing emulators. The emulator can load eboot.bin files, execute native CPU instructions, and manage basic kernel functions. Current features include loading game metadata, system modules, and initial Vulkan video output, with compatibility varying by title and platform. Touché PX5 supports Windows, Linux, and macOS, though performance and compatibility are experimental. The latest build was for commit 7df596c.

Touché PX5 v0.0.2-beta.6 has been launched. Touché PX5 is an independently maintained PlayStation 5 emulator primarily developed in C#, complete with its own user interface, roadmap, compatibility efforts, and public repository. This initiative is purely aimed at research and educational use with no commercial interests involved. We take pleasure in exploring system architecture and reverse engineering. Touché PX5 is dedicated solely to emulating the PlayStation 5, and we do not plan to support PS4 games, as an exceptional emulator exists for that platform: ShadPS4.
Current Status:
The emulator can now load the eboot.bin of genuine games, execute native CPU instructions, and manage some kernel functionalities. Nevertheless, several vital components are still under development.
Present capabilities include:
Loading eboot.bin and .elf files
Executing native CPU instructions
Reading basic game metadata (title, version, etc.)
Loading system modules (prx / sys_module)
Partial support for kernel functions
Fiber and AMPR exports
PlayGo scenarios
Initial AGC shader and resource submission
Vulkan video output on supported paths
AVPlayer video and audio handling
NGS2 software mixing and HEVAG decoding
Controller input and early save-data functionality
Compatibility is still title-specific and continually improving.
Touché PX5 works on Windows, Linux, and macOS hosts. Video output utilizes Vulkan on Windows and Linux, and MoltenVK on macOS. Platform support is currently experimental, leading to varying compatibility and performance depending on the game, operating system, and GPU driver.
