Gameplay

The Limited Collector’s Edition starts with the complete Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, so its main game experience is not a side dish or a collection of disconnected extras. You are buying the standard game with a few additions around it, and that distinction matters: nothing in this package turns it into a fundamentally different release.

The most meaningful gameplay extra is Survival mode, which asks you to withstand wave after wave of enemies. That is a straightforward but sensible bonus for anyone who wants an additional challenge after spending time with the main game. It has a clearer replay hook than a costume unlock because it gives you a dedicated reason to come back and test how long you can last.

The Sandwraith and Malik skins are more personal than essential. If either character means something to you, the chance to use that look can be a pleasant extra; if not, these are light bonuses rather than a reason to choose this edition on their own. Taken together, the gameplay additions are worthwhile seasoning, not a new meal.

Graphics

The physical side gives you three lithographic prints built from the game’s artwork, while the bonus DVD includes a screenshot gallery, trailers, wallpapers, and a screensaver. The prints are the most tangible visual reward here; the digital gallery and wallpapers are nice archive material for someone who wants more imagery from the game.

Story

This edition includes the full The Forgotten Sands game, so the core story comes intact rather than being replaced by collector-edition material. The bonus content sits beside that campaign instead of changing its narrative.

The Malik skin has some extra appeal because it lets you take on the appearance of a character tied to this game, while the Sandwraith skin reaches back to Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. That makes the two unlocks feel like small nods for returning series fans rather than story expansions.

The included Windows copy of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is the package’s best narrative-minded extra. It gives you another full Prince of Persia adventure rather than a brief behind-the-scenes clip, and it makes the set more rewarding for anyone building out the series.

Overall Experience

This is the kind of limited edition that makes sense when you want both the game and a compact shelf-and-desk collection. The soundtrack on the DVD, credited to Steve Jablonsky and Penka Kouneva, is a stronger inclusion than the screensaver or trailers; you can actually revisit it away from the game. The lithographs also have more staying power than a download code or menu unlock.

Its value rises sharply if you want the included copy of The Sands of Time on Windows. That second full game gives the box a substantial extra beyond cosmetic collectibles, while Survival mode offers at least one bonus with repeat-play potential.

Buy this version for the extras as a whole, not because you expect a radically expanded Forgotten Sands. Fans who enjoy franchise art, soundtrack material, alternate skins, and an additional survival challenge will get a satisfying bundle. If you only want the main game, the collector material is easy to admire without needing to own.
