Humongous Entertainment, Inc.

Humongous Entertainment, Inc. was founded in March 1992 in Woodinville, Washington by Ron Gilbert and Shelley Day as a developer of children’s computer games. During the 1990s the studio produced several recognizable series for young players, including Putt‑Putt, Pajama Sam, Freddi Fish and the Backyard Sports line; many titles were developed for Windows and Mac. In 1995 the company established a separate Seattle division, Cavedog Entertainment, to pursue adult‑oriented projects such as Total Annihilation.
