Founded in Tokyo in 1974 as Japan Leisure Company by Yoshiaki Kanazawa, Jaleco Ltd. became simply Jaleco in the early 1980s and operated as a Japanese developer and publisher of arcade and home-console games through the 1980s–2000s. Headquartered in Tokyo, the company produced arcade hardware and licensed console releases for domestic and overseas markets. Titles associated with its output include entries in the Bases Loaded baseball series, action and arcade releases such as The Ignition Factor and Ninja Jajamaru-kun, and arcade shooters in the Game Tengoku lineage.
