PPSSPP Git Update (June 10, 2026)

PPSSPP Git (2026/06/10) is a compiled, fast, and portable PSP emulator available for Android, Windows, Mac, and Linux. Recent updates include fixes for regressions and simplifications in the fragment shader. The build removes old features such as scaled depth buffers and the “Fragment ubershader” setting. It introduces a secondary texture cache for Gran Turismo and restores texture invalidation logic. Other improvements include cleanup of unnecessary code, the implementation of a new SyncDomain for texture hashing, and updates to texture status representations. Additional stats have been added, further enhancing the emulator’s performance and usability.

* Removed redundant flag from vertex shader IDs
* Eliminated the concept of scaled/offset depth buffers.
* Discarded the old “Fragment ubershader” setting, as it’s been on by default for years and is not genuinely an ubershader.
* Merged pull request #21808 from hrydgard/texture-cache-work
* Temporarily enabled secondary texture cache for Gran Turismo (universal activation coming soon)
* Restored and reintegrated some texture invalidation logic, fixing GT with minimal other impact.
* General cleanup
* Invalidated texture hashes on readbacks
* Removed some unnecessary elements
* Implemented the new SyncDomain concept for texture hashing, eliminated minihash
* Deleted the “Lazy texture cache” option
* Added new stats (enqueues, stall address updates)
* Merged pull request #21809 from crashGG/mmpx-adv
* MMPX Advanced: Fixed a subtle bug
* Merged pull request #21806 from hrydgard/more-texture-refactor
* Slightly reduced the size of the TexCacheEntry struct
* Converted TexCacheEntry::TexStatus into an enum class
* Rearranged texture status flags, renamed Full alpha to Solid alpha for textures
* Introduced a common TextureAlpha enum, replacing CheckAlphaResult and ReplacedTextureAlpha.
* TexCache: Stopped bitpacking the hash status into the status flags.
