Atlus U.S.A., Inc.

Founded as a North American publishing and localization branch in 1991 and based in Irvine, California, Atlus U.S.A., Inc. operated as the U.S. presence for the Japanese developer-publisher Atlus. Across the 1990s–2010s it released English versions of Atlus franchises and third-party imports; North American credits include role-playing and strategy titles such as Trauma Team, Etrian Odyssey II, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor and the original Demon’s Souls. The branch has undergone corporate renames and transfers (including use of the Index Digital Media name) while continuing to handle localization and publishing for Western markets.
