Ocean Software Ltd.

Founded in Manchester in 1983 by Jon Woods and David Ward, Ocean Software Ltd. operated as a British publisher and developer through the 1980s and into the 1990s. The company published and produced licensed tie-ins and original titles across home computers and consoles; notable releases attributable to the firm include The Addams Family and The Addams Family: Pugsley’s Scavenger Hunt, Jurassic Park and movie tie-ins such as Total Recall. Ocean maintained separate regional operations (including a North American arm) while expanding from Spectrum-era releases into multi-platform publishing during its peak years.
