Retro Replay Review
Gameplay
The first thing to understand is that this pack does not change how Black Ops II feels in your hands. You are still playing the same matches, chasing the same wins, and relying on the same skills; this DLC only changes the calling card you bring into that routine.
That narrow focus can be either refreshingly honest or a quick disappointment. If you enjoy tweaking your profile and like having a national flag represented among your calling-card choices, the reward is straightforward and personal. You select the card, equip it, and carry that bit of identity into the multiplayer spaces where calling cards are seen.
There is no progression loop to master here, so the purchase lives or dies on how much you value customization. It works best as a small finishing touch for an active Black Ops II player, not as a reason to return if you have already moved on from the game.
Graphics
The artwork centers on national flags from Asia and the Pacific, presented as calling-card imagery rather than new maps, character models, or battle scenes. Their bold colors and familiar flag designs should be easy to recognize at the compact scale of a profile card.
Story
This pack is not trying to add another chapter to Black Ops II. Its subject is national flag-themed profile customization, which puts it outside the campaign’s dramatic stakes and characters.
That makes the theme more personal than narrative. A chosen card can reflect a country or heritage you want associated with your account, but it does not ask you to follow a plot to get there.
For anyone coming in hoping for fresh Black Ops fiction, this is simply the wrong kind of add-on. Treat it as a badge, not an episode.
Overall Experience
Asian Flags of the World Calling Card Pack is a very slight piece of DLC, but it is also clear about what it is. The best case is easy to picture: you already play Black Ops II regularly, care about the calling card under your name, and find one of these flags worth using.
Its limitation is equally clear. Cosmetic profile cards cannot create new match-to-match excitement on their own, so there is little here for a gamer who does not notice or care about customization.
Buy it only if the regional flag theme specifically appeals to you or you are building out the full calling-card collection. If you like the idea and want a matching regional set, the European Flags of the World Calling Card Pack makes sense alongside it; otherwise, this is an easy extra to skip.
