Retro Replay Review
Gameplay
The first thing to understand is that this pack will not change how Black Ops II feels in your hands. Matches remain the same fast, familiar multiplayer loop; this DLC simply lets you bring a zombie-themed look into them. That makes it an easy add-on to judge. If you already spend plenty of time tuning your classes and care about the little details opponents see, it gives you one more way to make a favorite setup feel like yours.
The three reticles are the most immediately useful part because they appear during play, though only if you use ACOG, EOTECH, or Red Dot scopes. If one of those optics is already part of your regular loadout, the new aiming markers are a pleasant change of scenery. If you rarely equip them, much of the pack’s practical value disappears quickly.
Nothing here adds an advantage or asks you to relearn a weapon. That is good news if you only want cosmetic variety, but it also means the excitement is brief: you equip the skin, choose a reticle, set the calling card, and return to the same matches. Buy it for personality, not for a fresh reason to play.
Graphics
The visible additions are focused and straightforward: a zombie-themed weapon skin, three themed scope reticles, and a matching calling card. The weapon finish is the strongest piece because it stays with your gun throughout a match, while the reticles are small flourishes inside compatible sights.
Story
This is not a story add-on. Its zombie theme is used as a cosmetic motif for multiplayer equipment rather than a new narrative thread.
That narrow focus is honest, at least. You are not being pulled away from multiplayer for cutscenes, objectives, or a separate mode; the pack exists to let a Zombies fan carry that theme into ordinary competitive play.
The calling card is the closest thing to a personal badge here. It gives your profile a small undead stamp, which matters most if the Zombies side of Black Ops II is part of why you like the game in the first place.
Overall Experience
Zombies MP Personalization Pack is a small, cleanly targeted extra. The best case is simple: you play multiplayer often, use at least one supported optic, and enjoy the Zombies aesthetic enough that a themed weapon skin and player card will make your regular classes more satisfying to use.
Frustration can set in if you expect substance. The scope limitation is real, and cosmetics lose their novelty faster than a new map or mode. There is no larger progression loop or gameplay payoff waiting behind the purchase.
For devoted Black Ops II multiplayer regulars, it is a harmless bit of flair with a coherent theme. Everyone else can comfortably skip it. The pack does exactly what it says, but its small bundle of visual customization is difficult to call essential.
