The first thing that works here is the choice. Rather than asking you to settle into one Wickie game, this collection puts three distinct adventures in front of you: Die Mutprobe, Ein schlauer Plan, and Ylvi ist entführt. That is a modest but real advantage for a younger fan or a family picking a game together, since you can start with the title whose premise sounds most appealing.

I would begin with Ylvi ist entführt. A kidnapping gives that entry the most immediate sense of urgency, while Die Mutprobe sounds like the natural pick for anyone drawn to a challenge-centered setup. Ein schlauer Plan, meanwhile, carries the most Wickie-like promise in its name: solving a problem through thought rather than sheer Viking muscle.

The drawback of the three-in-one format is that it is a collection, not one unified adventure. If you want a single large journey with one continuous pull, switching between three separately named games may feel more fragmented than satisfying. Treat it as a small shelf of Wickie stories and the format makes more sense.

Graphics

There is no one shared scene or visual style to judge from a three-game collection alone. Each Wickie entry should stand on its own, rather than being treated as one continuous game simply because the package groups them together.

Story

The story hooks are clear and appropriately direct. Die Mutprobe is built around a test of courage, Ein schlauer Plan points toward a scheme or solution, and Ylvi ist entführt centers on Ylvi’s abduction. They are clean setups that make it easy to choose a starting point without much deliberation.

Ylvi ist entführt has the strongest dramatic premise of the three. “Ylvi is kidnapped” gives you an obvious reason to care before you know anything else, whereas a trial or a plan depends more on whether you already like the Wickie cast and tone.

What I like about the lineup is its range of stakes without abandoning the same familiar world. You get courage, cleverness, and rescue as three separate entry points. That is better suited to a Wickie fan than a random assortment of unrelated games.

Overall Experience

Wickie: malen’kij viking – 3v1 earns its place through concentration rather than ambition: it gathers three Wickie adventures under one roof. If the character and Viking setting already mean something to you, that focus is a strength. You are getting several chances to spend time in the same world, each with a plainly different narrative hook.

For everyone else, this is harder to recommend on the collection concept alone. The titles tell you what kind of stories await, but the package is most appealing when you specifically want more Wickie rather than merely any three games.

That makes this a solid targeted pick, not an automatic classic. Give it a chance for the chance to sample three Wickie scenarios—especially the rescue-focused Ylvi ist entführt—and go in expecting a compilation of separate adventures rather than one sweeping Viking tale.
