Interplay Productions, Inc.

Founded in Southern California in 1983 as Interplay Productions, Inc., the company began as a small development studio led by Brian Fargo with partners Jay Patel, Troy Worrell and Rebecca Heineman and investor Chris Wells. During the 1980s and 1990s it operated from the Los Angeles/Beverly Hills area as a developer and later developer–publisher, releasing and producing a wide range of PC and console projects including licensed Star Trek titles and other contemporary releases. A UK branch, Interplay Productions Ltd., handled European distribution for the firm during its earlier years. The game entries below, including versions and later rereleases grouped in this archive, span systems such as DOS, Windows, Amiga, Apple II, Commodore 64, NES, SNES, Atari ST, FM Towns, and 3DO.
