SNK Corporation

Founded in July 1978 in Osaka by Eikichi Kawasaki, SNK began as a Japanese developer and hardware maker best known for the Neo Geo family of arcade and home systems in the 1990s. The company produced long-running arcade series including Fatal Fury, Samurai Shodown, The King of Fighters and Metal Slug, and later released numerous Neo Geo compilations and anthologies. After financial collapse and bankruptcy filings in 2001, Kawasaki formed Playmore to acquire SNK’s intellectual property; that entity adopted the SNK Playmore name in 2003 and returned to SNK Corporation as its corporate name in 2016. The game entries below, including versions and later rereleases grouped in this archive, span systems such as Arcade, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Neo Geo, Xbox One, Neo Geo CD, Wii, PlayStation 3, Windows, and PSP.
