Software Creations Ltd.

Founded in Manchester in the mid-1980s by Richard Kay, Software Creations Ltd. was a British developer best known for ports and licensed-console work alongside original releases across 8‑ and 16‑bit systems through the 1990s. Early staff included the Follin brothers and artist Mark Wilson; the studio’s Commodore 64 conversion of Bubble Bobble is cited as an early breakthrough, and the company produced console titles such as Pictionary: The Game of Video Quick Draw. In 2002 Acclaim bought most of the studio’s assets, leading to its reconstitution as Acclaim Studios Manchester.
