Software Creations Ltd.

Founded in Manchester in the mid-1980s by Richard Kay, Software Creations Ltd. was a British developer best known for ports and licensed-console work alongside original releases across 8‑ and 16‑bit systems through the 1990s. Early staff included the Follin brothers and artist Mark Wilson; the studio’s Commodore 64 conversion of Bubble Bobble is cited as an early breakthrough, and the company produced console titles such as Pictionary: The Game of Video Quick Draw. In 2002 Acclaim bought most of the studio’s assets, leading to its reconstitution as Acclaim Studios Manchester. The game entries below, including versions and later rereleases grouped in this archive, span systems such as NES, SNES, Genesis, Commodore 64, Windows, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, PlayStation, ZX Spectrum, and Game Gear.
