Build a first GameEx MAME list

This guide starts with a small, testable GameEx setup. Use the official project for the current build and its documentation for platform-specific instructions.

Set up and test

1. Install GameEx and use its setup wizard to locate MAME.
2. Set the MAME executable and media paths, then update the game list.
3. Launch one game and verify controller and exit behavior.
4. Add artwork paths and refine filters only after the basic list works.
