Blizzard Entertainment Inc.
Blizzard Entertainment Inc., founded as Silicon & Synapse in February 1991 in Irvine, California, began as a small PC-game developer founded by Allen Adham and Michael Morhaime with Frank Pearce an early key executive. During the 1990s and 2000s the company developed and published major PC franchises including Warcraft, Diablo and StarCraft and later launched the massively multiplayer World of Warcraft and its expansions. The studio built the Battle.net online service and, after a series of corporate acquisitions, became part of the larger Activision Blizzard group while continuing to operate from its Irvine base. The game entries below, including versions and later rereleases grouped in this archive, cover Windows, DOS, Game Boy Advance, SNES, Genesis, Amiga, Amiga CD32, PlayStation, and SEGA 32X.
