Data East Corporation

Data East Corporation was a Tokyo-based arcade and home videogame publisher founded April 20, 1976 by Tetsuo Fukuda. Active from the late 1970s through the 1990s, it produced arcade and console titles across multiple platforms; notable releases include BurgerTime and its Super BurgerTime follow-ups, the arcade shooter Vapor Trail, the Neo·Geo basketball game Street Slam, and the NES family title Donald Land. Financial troubles led to bankruptcy proceedings in 2003; in 2004 G-Mode acquired the rights to a large portion of the company’s videogame library. The game entries below, including versions and later rereleases grouped in this archive, span systems such as Arcade, Nintendo Switch, Windows, NES, Wii, Commodore 64, PlayStation 4, SNES, ZX Spectrum, and Amstrad CPC.
