GameTap LLC

GameTap LLC was the online games-on-demand arm created by Turner Broadcasting and launched in 2005 as a broadband subscription service headquartered in the United States. Operating under the GameTap brand, the company both licensed classic PC and console titles and commissioned original episodic projects; its Originals line included American McGee’s Grimm, developed by Spicy Horse and distributed episodically via GameTap beginning in 2008. Turner executives and product teams ran the service while engineering and publishing partnerships supported content delivery and catalog licensing during its mid-2000s run.
