KOEI Corporation
Founded in Japan in July 1978 by Yoichi Erikawa and Keiko Erikawa, KOEI began as a developer and publisher focused on historical strategy and simulation. During the 1980s and 1990s it established a North American branch (KOEI Corporation) and built long-running franchises including Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Nobunaga’s Ambition, and later the Musou action series (Dynasty Warriors / Samurai Warriors) through its Omega Force team. Headquartered in Japan, the company expanded into multiple regional subsidiaries while continuing to publish both strategy titles and action spin-offs under the KOEI name prior to its later corporate integrations. The game entries below, including versions and later rereleases grouped in this archive, span systems such as PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Windows, PlayStation, SNES, DOS, FM Towns, Genesis, MSX, and PSP.
