Mattel Interactive

Mattel Interactive was Mattel’s dedicated interactive media division formed around Mattel’s 1999–2000 push into software and digital toys following Mattel’s acquisition of The Learning Company and integration of Mattel Media and related units. Operating in North America and with regional branches such as Mattel Interactive Deutschland, it published branded titles tied to Mattel properties (Barbie, Matchbox, Diva Starz) and licensed educational/board-game software (ClueFinders, Scrabble releases). Executive leadership during the unit’s turbulent period included corporate oversight by Mattel chair/CEO Jill Barad and managers appointed to run Mattel Interactive operations in 1999–2000. The game entries below, including versions and later rereleases grouped in this archive, cover Windows, PlayStation, Game Boy Color, Dreamcast, and Nintendo 64.
