NEC Technologies, Inc.
NEC Technologies, Inc. was the U.S. publishing and marketing arm for NEC’s consumer-electronics efforts during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Formed when NEC Information Systems and NEC Home Electronics USA merged, the company operated from Wood Dale, Illinois and handled North American marketing, distribution and published TurboGrafx-16/TurboDuo software. Its retro-era releases on the TurboGrafx-16 include Time Cruise (1991) and Silent Debuggers (1991), and it is listed as the North American publisher for the TurboGrafx port of Galaga ’88. The firm coexisted with other NEC-branded regional subsidiaries rather than being an unrelated namesake. The game entries below, including versions and later rereleases grouped in this archive, span systems such as TurboGrafx-16, Wii, Amiga, Arcade, Wii U, Atari ST, DOS, PlayStation 3, PSP, and TurboGrafx CD.
