SNK Corporation

Founded in Osaka by Eikichi Kawasaki in the late 1970s, SNK began as Shin Nihon Kikaku and grew into a Japanese developer and publisher best known for the Neo Geo arcade and home platforms. During the 1980s–1990s it released arcade and console hits such as Baseball Stars, Fatal Fury, Metal Slug and The King of Fighters while also producing cartridge-based Neo Geo MVS arcade boards. Key company locations and regional branches later included separate international offices, but its roots and hardware legacy remain tied to Osaka and the Neo Geo era.
