This PlayStation action set ranges from licensed spy missions and air combat to fighters, builders, and kid-friendly adventures, with plenty of late-era genre hopping.

007: Racing

In Bond’s gadget-loaded driving missions, mission objectives ask Bond to retrieve items, escape pursuit, and use mines, rockets, lasers, and smoke screens from behind the wheel. Local multiplayer includes vehicle combat and a Pass the Bomb mode where drivers transfer a ticking explosive by ramming another car.

007: The World Is Not Enough

The World Is Not Enough on PlayStation follows the film’s oil-pipeline conspiracy across 11 PlayStation missions, mixing first-person shooting, stealth, and gadgets such as the taser watch and night-vision goggles. Unlike the Nintendo 64 edition discussed in the source, this version is focused on its solo campaign rather than multiplayer.

007: Tomorrow Never Dies

Tomorrow Never Dies’ third-person campaign puts Bond through third-person shooting stages with both free aim and auto-lock targeting as he pursues Elliot Carver. A traffic-heavy vehicle chase and a skiing sequence interrupt the infiltration-and-gunfight routine.

3D Shooting Tkool

a shooter-making toolkit is presented as a creator suite where players set up vehicles, weapons, enemy behavior, stages, music, and sound effects before testing the result. Its three sample shooters invite a direct comparison: which one would you take apart first to build a new stage?

Abalaburn

Abalaburn’s Lemuria tournament combines rotatable 3D arena fights with story stages built around jumping, traps, and simple environmental puzzles. Eight fighters pursue the wish-granting Lemuria, then settle chapters with conventional boss bouts.

Ace Combat 2

Ace Combat 2’s mercenary sorties sends a mercenary pilot across 30 missions that include dogfights, reconnaissance, and strikes on defended ground targets. Mission earnings can be spent on aircraft parts and weapon options, while analog control and DualShock support are part of the package described here.

Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere

Electrosphere’s international campaign moves from ordinary aerial engagements to carrier attacks, stratospheric pursuits, and orbital combat, with mission ratings unlocking aircraft. The international edition is specifically a linear version, with the Japanese release’s branching routes, multiple endings, and much of its supporting material removed.

Action Man: Operation Extreme

Action Man’s mixed mission roster spreads 26 missions between third-person combat and isometric car, plane, and boat sequences as Action Man battles Dr. X. Desert, jungle, polar, and other locations frame objectives including rescues, sabotage, and retrievals.

Adiboo & Paziral’s Secret

Adiboo’s route to Paziral runs for 12 levels and alternates platforming with racing and arcade stages on the route through a volcano, lagoon, forest, temple, and Metal Island. Would the frequent switches in play style make this a better fit for a younger player than a straight platformer?

Advanced V.G. 2

Advanced V.G. 2’s waitress tournament gathers 12 fighters for the Jahana Group’s annual Variable Geo tournament, including nine returnees and three newcomers. Arcade, Story, Versus, Time Attack, and Practice modes give Tamao Mitsurugi’s pursuit of champion Yuka Takeuchi several different settings for a rematch.

Which would you revisit first: Bond’s weaponized driving, Ace Combat’s mission-by-mission aircraft upgrades, or one of the stranger genre blends such as Abalaburn and Adiboo?
