Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc.

Sony Computer Entertainment America began as the PlayStation business’s North American arm in the mid‑1990s, established in Foster City (listed as May 1994/1995) and later incorporated as Sony Computer Entertainment America, Inc. in January 1997. Based in California and operating through the PlayStation generations, it published and managed regional releases and in‑house studios (including the 989/SCE internal studios and San Diego Studio). The company is associated with North American publishing for titles such as MLB (The Show) entries, God of War III and LittleBigPlanet. On April 1, 2016 it was reorganized under the new Sony Interactive Entertainment structure.
