Telltale, Inc. was an American episodic adventure game publisher and developer founded in 2004 and based in San Rafael, California. The studio was established by former LucasArts staff Kevin Bruner, Dan Connors and Troy Molander and operated through 2018. It specialized in licensed, chapter-based adventure releases and produced Sam & Max seasons, Wallace & Gromit adaptations, and the LucasArts‑licensed Tales of Monkey Island (2009). Tales of Monkey Island was released under license from LucasArts; Sam & Max and Wallace & Gromit were among the early recurring licensed series the company released.
