Ubi Soft Entertainment Software was founded in 1986 in Brittany, France, by Yves Guillemot and his brothers and grew into an international publisher and distributor headquartered in the Paris region. During the 1990s and early 2000s it released and handled publishing for a wide range of console and PC titles across regional branches (North American and European offices operated under related Ubi Soft names). Notable, attributable releases from the period include F1 Pole Position (SNES, credited to UBI SOFT) and several 1990s PC and console releases issued by Ubi Soft’s European operations.
