The collector’s edition leaves the game’s story intact because it includes the basic game rather than an altered narrative version. You should buy it expecting the same adventure, not extra chapters or a different ending.

Its story-related value is indirect: the eight behind-the-scenes featurettes and bonus video extras can add context around the creation of the game. That is a nice companion after you have spent time with the main release, especially if you enjoy seeing how a Disney project came together.
