Core Design Ltd.
Core Design Ltd. was a British game developer founded in 1988 and based in Derby, England. Early team members included Jeremy Heath‑Smith and several ex‑Gremlin staff; Toby Gard later designed the studio’s signature character, Lara Croft. The studio produced 2D and early 3D console and home‑computer titles such as Rick Dangerous and Bubba ’N’ Stix before creating Tomb Raider (1996) and subsequent sequels including Tomb Raider III. Core Design operated independently, was acquired into publisher groups in the 1990s, and ceased primary Tomb Raider development after 2003. The game entries below, including versions and later rereleases grouped in this archive, span systems such as Amiga, DOS, Atari ST, PlayStation, Windows, Genesis, Amiga CD32, Commodore 64, PS Vita, and PSP.
