Taito Corporation
Taito Corporation is a Tokyo-based developer and arcade manufacturer founded in 1953 by Michael Kogan. Beginning as an importer of vending machines and jukeboxes, the company moved into electronic amusements and released its first arcade video hardware in the 1970s. During the late 1970s and 1980s it produced landmark arcade titles including Space Invaders and later hits such as Bubble Bobble and Puzzle Bobble; the firm also operated regional branches (for example an early American arm in the 1970s). Key company timelines and locations are documented in corporate materials from Taito and catalog listings on MobyGames. The game entries below, including versions and later rereleases grouped in this archive, span systems such as Arcade, Windows, NES, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, MSX, Wii, PlayStation 4, Amiga, and Commodore 64.
