Fanmade SNES Port of Punch-Out!! Now Available for Download

In exciting news for retro gaming enthusiasts, the highly-anticipated SNES port of the classic NES game Punch-Out!! is now available for download. The port, created by the talented ROM hacker and porting expert Infidelity, promises to bring the beloved boxing game to the Super Nintendo with a host of quality-of-life improvements and enhanced audio.

Infidelity has made a name for himself in the retro gaming community by porting several iconic NES titles to the SNES, each featuring a range of enhancements and improvements. His previous works include well-received ports of Mega Man, Mega Man II, Mega Man IV, Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, and DuckTales.

The Punch-Out!! SNES Port Announcement

The announcement of the Punch-Out!! SNES port came via an incredibly unsubtle teaser trailer posted on Infidelity’s Twitter account. The trailer, which features an edited version of a SNES commercial starring Paul Rudd, is set to LL Cool J’s “Mama Said Knock You Out” and includes clips of Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!! for the NES as well as Mike Tyson’s cameo in the 2009 comedy The Hangover.

Fans of the classic boxing game will be thrilled to learn that the SNES port of Punch-Out!! is now available for download here, as well as the rest of his ports. While the specific quality-of-life features included in the port have not been detailed, Infidelity’s previous works suggest that players can expect a range of enhancements designed to improve the overall gaming experience. Edit: this is just a straight port. No enhancements.

As the retro gaming community eagerly dives into this new SNES port of Punch-Out!!, we’d love to hear from you about the quality-of-life features you’d like to see included in the game.
